Ingredients
320g | Pasta, uncooked |
1 | Broccoli floret |
3 tbsp | Olive Oil |
3 | Garlic cloves |
1 | Red onion |
1/2 tsp | Fennel seeds |
1/2 tsp | Crushed red chillies |
1 pack | THIS™ Isn't Pork Sausages |
As much as your heart desires | Vegan parmesan |
This dish will teach you a few things:
- Frying broccoli> boiling broccoli
- Vegan sausages and fennel are a killer combo
HOW TO COOK THIS™ DISH:
- Chop your broccoli floret into bite-size pieces. If you’re not cooking the stalk wtf, it’s the best bit.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat, once warm, add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Then, add the broccoli (if you usually boil your broccoli c’mon, do better).
- Once your broccoli has cooked (it should charr slightly) set aside.
- Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook your pasta according to pack instructions.
- Then, whilst your pasta is cooking, add 2 tbsp of olive oil to the frying pan. Once hot, add your onion and fry until soft and translucent.
- Add the fennel seeds – once they start to get some colour, deskin the Isn’t Pork Sausages and add them into the pan.
- Once the THIS™ Isn’t Pork sausages have become golden brown, add the broccoli back in the pan, along with the garlic – cook until it’s all hot.
- Drain the pasta, reserving some of the pasta water, then tip the pasta in with the sausages and broccoli, along with the reserved pasta water and mix all together.
- Serve hot with loads of seasoning and parmesan cheese.
